Magistrate Sagarr Jahateh of the Banjul Magistrates’ Court on Friday sentenced one Abdoulie Ceesay to a fine of D10,000, in default to serve a one-year imprisonment term.

When the charge was read to him, Abdoulie Ceesay pleaded guilty.

According to the particulars of the offence, Mr Ceesay was found in possession of Euro 44,150  and US$800 at the Banjul International Airport ‘without reporting it to the supervisory authority’.
