‘Trust Bank is unique’

Dodou Nyang, the newly appointed Marketing Manager of Trust Bank Gambia Ltd, has described his institution as   unique in the banking sector, eptomised by an unprecedented growth in the bussiness environment.

According to him, Trust Bank has 10 years experience in The Gambia,   with the   widest   target network. “This simply means that we did not discriminate between low and high income-earners. Every income bracket has a place at the bank.   Of all the banks in the country, we have the most expierienced management team, due to our experience,” he explained

Trust Bank, Mr Nyang said, “the widest branch network by far with relations to other banks and are   all interlinked. This means that we are everywhere, thus enabling us to better understand the needs of the people.

We have the lowest charges at the most competitive interest rate in the country annually,” he said

 

Services

Mr Nyang revealed that 70 percent of salary earners in the   country receive their monthly wages, through the   bank. “For salary earners”, he added “we process their loans within 48 hours, give instant overdarfts at a competitive rate and offer cash pick-up services”.

“There is no bank in this country that’s deeply involved in every sector of the Gambian economy as we are. For us, we are involved in agriculture, fisheries, international trade, amongst others”.

“We provide the lowest fees for visa statements, return cheques, telegraphic transfers, overdraft cheques, amongst   others”.

 

Social responsibilty

According to Mr Nyang, Trust Bank gives more with regards to their corporate social responsibilty in the areas of health, education and sports.

In the health sector, Nyang revealed that Trust Bank is currently sponsoring the Marternity Wing of the AFPRC Hospital in Farrafenni. It also refurbished the Leman Street Clinic in Banjul at a tune of D5M   and gives annual assistance to the Clinic, while work is near   completion on the refurbished RVTH Sanotorium.

On sports, he said that Trust Bank has rekindled inter-school sports and its contributions to   nawetan is legendary.

“We also contribute regulary whenever the national team takes part in competitions,” he added,

On education, he said,   the bank is involved in the Excellence Mellinium   Award, by giving awards to the best grade nine students each year.

 

Future plans

On the future plans of the bank, Nyang said, the Trust Bank will endeavour to satisfy the needs of their customers, and would be customers to retain their position as the bank of choice.

“We welcome the proliferation of banks in the   country for it provides the possible options for customers. When faced with all these banks, the question is who do you trust? Do you take a chance, or go for a try and see method?”
