The National Youth Parliament (NYP) of The Gambia last Wednesday celebrated its five years anniversary at the National Assembly Building in Banjul.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Samboujang Conteh, Director of RAID, said the association has over the past years registered remarkable success, ranging from advocacy youth leadership, capacity-building, voters education, election observation, reproductive health information to substance abuse information.

In his keynote address, Hon Abdoulie Bojang, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly commended the National Youth Parliament for being a vibrant youth organisation in the fight against the menace of drugs; and working tirelessly to inculcate positive moral behaviours, values and norms into the youths of this country.

On his final note, he said, investing in youths is a noble duty as youths are the future leaders of this country.
