‘Operation Light Banjul’ launched

Hon Oley Sey, Nominated Member of the National Assembly and Njagga Jammeh, former Independent Candidate for Banjul South, who withdrew his candidature in the last elections to join the APRC, on Sunday, launched ‘Operation Light Banjul’.

The project involves refitting bulbs in all the dysfunctional electricity poles in the streets of Banjul.

Confirming this to the Daily Observer, Hon Sey said the project will commence at the Marina Parade, via the streets near Paediatric Hospital of the RVTH and then continue on the State House roads that connects the Independence Drive.

Hon Sey then commended President Jammeh for his tireless efforts in developing the country. She assured her resolve to complement Government’s efforts, by living up to expectation.

For his part, Njagga Jammeh, called on development oriented individuals to emulate their initiative.

Aas Jack, and Aji Fatou Bah, Deputy Women Mobiliser of Banjul, commended Hon Oley Sey and Njagga Jammeh for the streetlights initiative.
