Bob Davies, Chairman and CEO of Uniglobal Gambia Ltd, on Monday, paid a courtesy call on Aja Dr Isatou Njie-Saidy, Vice -President and Secretary of State for Women’s Affairs, at the State House in Banjul.
Speaking to journalists shortly after his audience with the Vice-President, Mr. Davies said the meeting centered on their three gas projects being implemented in the country. He said his company invested a lot of money in the liquified natural gas project. He revealed that the project will commence with the local gas and then expanded to the commercial industrial gas.
Mr. Davies disclosed that the date for the laying of the foundation is expected to be imbibed in the activities of the July 22nd anniversary.
He told journalists that the company has started developing the refineries for the domestic gas, recalling that the President has announced the availability of gas deposit in the country. “We want to take advantage of that. We want to develop. The Africa Gas Project has taken off. So we want to position ourselves even before them, so that The Gambia and Gambians will benefit immensely. With the project, we would be able to set up other regional projects,” he explained.
Mr. Davies then described The Gambia as a peaceful country, where investors can invest more money. Bob Davies was accompanied to state by his staff.
