Five Senegalese Custom Officers granted bail

The five Senegalese Custom Officers, who were arrested in the territorial waters of The Gambia sometime ago, for allegedly importing and being in possession of fire arms were yesterday granted bail, after being remanded at Mile II Central Prisons.

The bail was approved by the presiding magistrate, Pa Harry Jammeh, on condition that each accused persons has provided two Gambian sureties, with a landed property in the Greater Banjul Area.

Earlier on, RSM Cherno Jobe of The Gambia Navy, was cross examined by Defence Counsel, Antouman Gaye.
