The six-nation Zone II boxing gala to be hosted in Banjul will commence today at Buffer Zone, Tallingding.

Except Mali, all the five expected nations have already arrived in the country to join the host, The Gambia for the keenly anticipated championships that will also serve as the qualifying competitions for the All Africa Games to be held in Algeria later this year.

Today’s opening ceremony will be marked with a cultural display of different cultural groups while bouts will start at 1600hrs daily.
