The economic crime case filed by the state against Maimuna Taal, former Director -General of Gambia Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), reached climax on Thursday with the prosecution closing its case.

One of the defense counsels, Combeh Gaye, who stepped in for her senior counsel, informed the court that the defense intends to make a no-case submission before applying for adjournment. The application was granted as hearing resumes on 19th April, 2007.

The case was presided over by Justice Monageng of Banjul High Court.
