Lance Corporal Yankuba Jarjue passed away

Lance Corporal Yankuba Jarjue of the First Infantry Battalion of The Gambia National Army, Fajara Barracks, who has just graduated from the University of The Gambia, and majored Economics in the last convocation died on Thursday, 12th April 2007.

According to reports, Lance Corporal Yankuba Jarjue was diagnosis with hepotoma (B) and admitted at the Shell Ward of the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH), in Banjul where he struggled very hard from his hospital bed to receive his certificate.

A classmate of the deceased told the Daily Observer that he was rocked and mesmerized with the news of the untimely death of Lance Corporal Jarjue .The 23 year old Army Officer, after the convocation ceremony, he went back to his hospital bed until his last breath on Thursday, 12th April, 2007.

Lance Corporal Jarjue was later buried with a military salute of twelve gun fire in the air at his village of Makumbaya, in Kombo North to bid him farewell.
