GABA to host six-nation boxing competitions

The Gambia Amateur Boxing Association (GABA), is preparing grounds to host a six-nation Zone II Boxing gala scheduled between Wednesday, April 4 to Sunday, April 8, 2007, press release from the national boxing association has revealed.

The six expected nations, according to the release, include Sierra Leone, Cape Verde, Mali, Senegal, Guinea Conakry and host, The Gambia.

The release added that the Banjul tournament will serve as the qualifying rounds for the All Africa Games scheduled to take place in Algeria later this year.

“The Buffer Zone at Latrikunda Sabiji will be the venue of the tournament and bouts will commence at 16:00 daily,” the release concluded.
