Armed Forces sink Sait Matty

Armed Forces earned their first win of the season after a 2-0 victory over the struggling Africell/Sait Matty side in this Wednesday’s fixture played at Serrekunda East. The Soldiers scored one in each half-courtesy of mesmeric Buba Darboe and Abou Sanyang.

The victory kept Armed Forces on track with five points and four games-in-hand. In contrast, the defeat was Sait Matty’s fourth winless run. They currently lie seventh on the league table with seven points from eight games.

Week nine fixtures will resume on Saturday, April 21, with all eyes on top of the table clash as leaders Wallidan take on second position holders, Gambia Ports Authority at Banjul Mini-stadium. Armed Forces will also return to action on the same day when they play Hawks at Serrekunda West Mini-stadium.
