In the Austrian Bundesliga, it was a revenge clash between two Gambian internationals over the weekend as Modou Jagne’s SCR Altach beat Pa Saikou kujabi’s GAK Liebhar by 3-1 at home in Altach.

The two sides locked in a fight to avoid the drop in the Austrian league but recent results seem to ease their worries as both teams lie in 7th and 8th position respectively.

Pa Saikou kujabi alias Carlos, missed the weekend encounter due to the hamstring injury he sustained in the Gambia’s Nations Cup qualifiers against Guinea in Banjul recently.

Last week GAK beat Altach 4-1 before the reversal of the fixture during which Modou Jagne led the scoring sheet for his side as early as the 3rd minute but GAK fought back and humiliated their visitors defence like a sheet of paper.

According to Gambian International Modou Jagne "we were just poor and they destroy us but I believe we will survive" Jagne concluded.
