The Young Writers Club of Muslim Senior Secondary School in Banjul yesterday launched a magazine entitled The Informer.

The motto of the Young Writers Club is ‘Conscious Youth means a Conscious Nation’.

In his remarks on the occasion, Mr Sulayman Njie, the Principal of Muslim Senior Secondary School, said he was very elated and glad to grace the occasion as principal of the school.

He advised members of the club to be mindful of what they write and publish, so that they maintain credibility, objectivity and fairness as well as promote education, discipline, and development among students, schools and in the public.

“We want to be journalists in the future, and we believe this magazine can give us adequate training and experience to reach that level,” said members of the club, which is comprised of female and male students.
