Mr. Baboucarr Jobarteh, former protocol officer to the Vice President, was released from detention last Monday.
He had been in detention since October 27 2006.
Our sources added that a court ordered Mr. Jobarteh to pay the sum of ten thousand dalasis.
He is currently admitted at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH), our sources disclosed.
Meanwhile, Mr. Omar Ndow, the former Managing Director of Gambia Telecommunications Company (GAMTEL) who was arrested sometime ago, has been released; likewise Superintendent Abdoulie Colley, the former Officer Commanding of Sibanor Police Station.
