NIA Murder Trial Resumes

The murder case involving Victor Gomez and John Gomez recently came up for hearing once more at the Brikama High Court before Justice Yeboah.

Both accused are arraigned in court for allegedly murdering Abibou Gibba, an officer of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).

In his evidence-in-chief, PW6 Sgt Mustapha Saine told the court that he was attached to the criminal records office in Banjul and added that his role was to take photographs. He admitted that he knew the first accused victor Gomez.

During cross-examination, PW6 Sgt Saine was asked whether he knew the name of the doctor who conducted the post-mortem, and he replied that it was Dr Omar Sam.

Then the case was adjourned until 9 May 2007 for continuation.
