MPK School holds speech day

Methodist Preparatory and Kindergarten School on Thursday, June 7, 2007 held its Speech and Prize-Giving Day at the school grounds in Banjul.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. S Y Safor, acting Principal of the School told the gathering that the school’s enrolment stands at 828 pupils, 106 of whom are boys in the kindergarten and 320 in the preparatory school.
She noted that in the school, they often spend two Fridays in every month to inject new strategies into their teaching system to constantly equip teachers with the new teaching methods.

He then revealed that teachers are very happy and look forward to the continuation of the workshop as it will help in enhancing teachers’ credibility.

For her part, Gwendoline Cox, Proprietress of Cox Creations in Serrekunda, who was the Guest Speaker of the occasion, advised the students to continue the good work and continue to respect their education.

“In this instance, as pupils, working hard you require to spend a lot of time with your Books,” she advised.
Prizes were then awarded to best pupils.
