Mercy ships cleft surgery experts to arrive soon

A group of Mercy Ships equipped to do cleft lip surgery will arrive in The Gambia on June 2 for a two-week operation. 

Speaking to the Daily Observer, Mr. Sam Penannan, a YWAM charity worker in the country, said the operation is open to all people suffering from lip related defects.

According to him, all those suffering from the problem can come for a free- consultation.

“If you are accepted, you will be given an appointment date. This operation will be at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH),” he said.
 
Mr. Penannan noted that, the operation will be a joint collaboration with the management of RVTH, adding that the operation will end on June 15 2007.
