Magistrate Aminata Saho-Ceesay of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court has been appointed as the new Sheriff of the Sheriff Division governed by the High Court in Banjul.

Magistrate Saho-Ceesay’s appointment takes effect from 1st July, 2007. According to reliable sources, her appointment goes with a promotion. Magistrate Amina Saho-Ceesay has hitherto served in the judiciary as a Magistrate for three years.

She had served at both the Banjul Magistrates’ Court and Kanifing Magistrates twice each before finally moving to the Bundung Magistrates’ Court where she has been serving until her new appointment.

Meanwhile, according to judicial sources, no replacement has yet been made in the position of Magistrate Saho-Ceesay at the Bundung Court.
