Armed Forces Are Champions of Eda Carr Pre-season Tourney

Armed Forces have emerged as winners of the Eda Carr pre season championship meant to prepare participating teams for the 2008 Gambia Football Association Season. They made it when they edged out Real De Banjul, league champions of the GFA 2006/7 season, on penalty kicks after a goal-less match on Saturday at the Banjul Mini Stadium. The game, which most spectators described as well contested, saw a display of talents and good tactics during the 90 minutes of play. The final was decided on penalty kicks and it ended 4-3.
