The criminal case involving two former State House officers, Superintendent Manlafi Sanyang and Lt. Bakary Camara, would resume today at the Banjul Magistrates’ Court.
The former State House duo are standing trial for allegedly stealing motor vehicles belonging to the state.
Superintendent Sanyang is being charged with stealing a motor vehicle with registration number, BJL 4591B in the month of June 2002 while Lt. Camara is being charged with stealing a vehicle with registration number BJL 4063B and also giving false information to a public officer.
In a separate development, former State House Press Officer, Mr Mam Sait Ceesay, who is standing trial for allegedly publishing false information, is expected to re-appear today at the Banjul Magistrates’ Court.
Both cases are to be presided over by Magistrate Kayode.
