One Buba Samateh of Brikama on Thursday 16th December 2007 was arraigned before magistrate Edrisa Mbai of the Brikama Magistrate’s Court for the possession of a prohibited drug contrary to section 35 sub sector 9(A) for the drug control as amended.

According to the particulars of the offence Buba Samateh on or about 17th day of October 2007 was stopped at a police check-point. The accused was found in possession of 720g of cannabis.

When the charge sheet was read to him and interpreted to him in local language which he understands, he pleaded not guilty to his charge.

The case was adjourned to 27 December 2007 for hearing.
