Friday, May 25, 2007

The Chief Security Officer of the opposition UDP, Mr. Kebba Fatty, was yesterday released barely 72 hours after his reported arrest.

According to informed sources, Mr. Fatty was arrested on Monday by state security agents at his residence in Brikama but was released yesterday, though it was yet to be confirmed whether he has been charged with any offence.

Speaking earlier to this paper yesterday afternoon, the leader of UDP, Lawyer Ousainou Darboe, said Mr. Fatty was on Monday picked up by state security agents in Brikama but could not elaborate on the reason of the arrest and where he was being detained.
