Cement thieves sentenced

Eight Gambians were yesterday, convicted and sentenced to three years with hard labour by the Brikama Magistrates’ Court for conspiring and stealing fifteen bags of cement said to be the property of CSE from its store near the airport.

Confirming this to the Daily Observer yesterday, in his office, Inspector Sulayman Secka, the Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) said that the accused were convicted with the watchman for commiting the act of stealing and conspiracy.

He further added that the fifteen bags of cement were recovered.
