Wednesday, September 12, 2007

The Brikama Magistrates’ Court is expected to begin hearing in the case of one Yassa Keita over charges of drug smuggling.

Yassa was reportedly apprehended at the Banjul International Airport in Yundum with 200g and 300mg of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

He was sometime last month arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court where he’s expected to return for the trial proper.

His case would be chaired by Senior magistrate Edrissa Mbai and the National Drug Enforcement Agency would be represented by Abdoulie Ceesay.
