One Edrissa Jatta, the operator of the Sanyang Sand Mining Company, was, on Wednesday, sentenced to three months with hard labour by Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates Court.

According to the particulars of the case, Edrissa Jatta on 10th of October, 2008, at the Sanyang Sand Mining Company, stole ten litres of gas oil from the said company.

When the charge sheet was read to him, Mr Jatta pleaded guilty.

According to facts of the case, Mr Jatta was seen and apprehended by one Edrissa Sanyang while trying to hide the fuel. He was later taken to the Sanyang Police Station where he was charged with stealing.
