The Department of State for Tourism and Culture (DoSTC), and other stakeholders in the promotion and development of tourism in The Gambia , over the weekend, hosted 12-member delegation of ESO Travel Tours Company from the Czech Republic , at a dinner held at the Sheraton Hotel, on the Brufut Height.

The ESO Travel Tour’s delegation, led by Petra Baumannova, Product Manager of the company are in The Gambia on a working visit.   The visit is meant to obtain first hand information on the state of tourism development and promotion in The Gambia as a way of attracting visitors from Czech Republic to The Gambia.

Angella Colley, SoS for Tourism and Culture, speaking at the reception dinner, enticed the delegation to feel free and interact with the Gambian people, describing them as hospitable and accommodating. She challenged the delegates to explore the Gambian market and then assured them of her support at all times.

Petra Baummanova, Product Manager of ESO Travel Tours and head of the delegation described The Gambia as real heaven for visitors.   She spoke about her company’s intention to explore the Gambian market, like they did in other parts of the world, such as Asia, Australia , America and in some African countries. She also assured her company’s readiness to work with their Gambian counterparts for the mutual benefit of all.
