Brufut marathon gathers momentum

Preparations are in high gear for the successful organisation of the 13th edition of the annual Brufut Marathon Race.
He said the December race will feature various events including the 10km race for men and women, bicycle race among others.
“Interestingly for the first time, there will be a wheel chair race for the disabled people, and the usual 1.5 km for the nursery school pupils and their teachers.” Jallow said the registration for this year’s race has started, noting that except for the disabled people and nursery school pupils, one needs to pay only D30.00 (thirty dalasis) to take part in the events that will see all the participants decorated with certificates in addition to winners prizes that will include cash, trophies, gold medals, bags of rice, just to name but a few.
