Malick Nyan, a staff member at the Sheraton Hotel in Brufut, is seeking the support of local business people and investors to fund the publication of his book of important dates and events in The Gambia’s history.

Mr. Nyan has been researching and compiling the book for over a year and is hoping to get the finished product on the shelves by the end of this year.

Malick Nyan was born in Banjul in 1975 and started his education at JC Fay Nursery School. He later proceeded to Bakau Primary School and from there sat the common entrance exam and proceeded to Muslim High School in Banjul from where he graduated in 1996.

According to Mr. Nyan, he wishes to continue to research and write books that will be of interest not only to the general public but also to the many tourists who visit The Gambia every year. He says the publication of this volume is his priority for the coming year.
