An 11-year- old Seedia Dampha of Bundung is in dire need of assistance to go overseas for medical treatment.
According to a medical report issued by the Medical Research Council, little Seedia presented with a congestive cardiac failure secondary to a congenital heart defect. He therefore needs to undergo cardiac surgery.
Speaking to the Point recently, Ma Phoday Dampha, the father of Seedia said after his son’s discharge from MRC, they went to RVTH where doctors informed them that his son can only be cured overseas.
“Since 2000 we have been seeking for support but to no avail and his condition is getting worse daily,” Mr Dampha lamented.
Physically, Seedia looks well but he is in fact suffering as the illness has even made it impossible for him to play with his friends.
For MaPhoday, who is a class room teacher, the costs involved in sending his son overseas for treatment are simply too high hence he is looking for the support of good Samaritans and NGOs to come to the aid of poor Seedia.
