Sierra Leonean Given D10,000 Bail

Sunday, July 29, 2007

Muhammed Lamin Fofana, a Sierra Leonean resident in The Gambia, was last Tuesday given bail in the sum of D10,000 to enable him gain liberty as his case proceeds.

He’s though expected to return to the Bundung Magistrates’ Court for the opening of his case for a full trial.

Muhammed was arrested by the police patrol team sometime last month in Nemakunku Jola Kunda for allegedly wandering in an aimless manner and without a document to convince that his stay in The Gambia was regularized.

He denied the allegations and is expected back in court on July 31st.

The case would be chaired by magistrate B.O. Jobe and the Inspector General of Police would be represented by 510 Touray.
