Thursday, January 31, 2008
The criminal proceeding involving Dodou Janneh alias Dodou Boy, accused of murdering the late Sheriff Minteh, continues to drag before the Bundung Magistrates Court.

The case, which is heard weekly, could not proceed for three consecutive adjournments due to the absence of the litigants.

Similarly last Tuesday, when the proceeding was supposed to continue again, the case could not proceed due to the indisposal of presiding Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara.

It could be recalled that Dodou Janneh, the  accused,  is standing trial for allegedly murdering the late Sheriff Minteh, aged 20, at the Serrekunda suburb of London Corner. The late Sheriff Minteh passed away on Wednesday, 9 May, 2007.

The case is now adjourned to February 5 for PW5 to testify. Sergeant 772 Samateh stood in for the IGP.
