The Bundung Magistrates’ Court, presided over by magistrate George, has sentenced one Sheriff Bah to pay a fine D3400 or risk going to jail for 18 months.

He was also ordered to pay a compensation of D8000 to his victim or serve another 18 months at the State Central Prison in Banjul.

Sheriff was found guilty of assaulting one Abdou Kadir Bah  by knocking him on the eye thereby causing him actual bodily harm.
