The trial of Demba Cham for allegedly attempting to commit murder will resume next Monday at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court.

The case was billed to proceed last Monday but could not thanks to the sudden demise of the chauffeur of magistrate Buba Jawo and the apparent absence of the defence counsel from court.

It would be recalled that Demba Cham had, in Busumbala in Kombo North, made an attempt on the life of one Binta Njie by tripping her and then pressed her until she answered to the call of nature.

The case resumes Monday.
