Poverty eradication training ends

A six months training programme organised by Project Aid the Third World, recently concluded at the Regional Training Center in Jahally, Central River Region.

The training gatherd participants from the communities of Jahally and Madina Nfally.

Declaring the training closed, Lamin Dibba, manager of the Project Aid Third World, expressed satisfaction over the training workshop and urged the participants to fully utilise the knowledge gained. He expressed hope that, even though the project started slowly, but may increase in the near future.

Foday Trawally, course coordinator of the training programme, highlighted the importance of the training such as to empower women in their social responsibilities. Mr Trawally expressed delight at the participants performance during the training.

Lamin Kassama, clinic manager and head of Jahally Health Center, also urged the participants to fully utilise the knowledge gained and change their attitudes towards socio-economic development.

Alpha Omar Jallow, the course lecturer also expressed similar sentiments and advised the trainees to take their work seriously.

Present at the closing ceremony were, Yama Samateh Loo,  general manager of Project Aid Third World, Kekuta Ceesay Vice-Chairman, JanJanbureh Area Council, Momodou Kumba Kebbeh, Alkalo of Jahally village and Aja Mama Drammeh, a participant, delivered the vote of thanks.
