Late Mike Knight, former Standard Chartered Bank general manager, managing director of Meridian Bank was remembered at a two-day golf tournament at the Fajara Golf Course.
The tournament, which ended last Sunday, featured four professionals and 31 Amateur golfers marking the 15th memorial tourney for the late former golfer Mike Knight.
The tournament was organised and sponsored by the wife and family of the deceased.
The competition produced very interesting performances in professional, amateur and Cadet levels.
Bakary Touray, winner of the competition, speaking to pointsport described the tournament as a boost to their morale and to their preparation for an international competition coming up in Senegal.
“We have not had a competition of this nature for the past 8 months,” he added.
He thanked the wife and family members of the late Mike Night for organising such a tournament in the name of the former chairman of the Golf club.
Alagie Drammeh came second in the tournament while Lamin Darboe was the third position holder.
The best golfer award of the tournament went to Ronaldo.
