Bullock Drums Up Support for Refugees

The community of Bullock in Foni Berefet has made a passionate appeal to WFP, UNHCR and other humanitarian agencies to enable it cope with the refugee situation.

Bullock is struggling with the problem of refugee inflow in the village and the community is now drumming up support to enable it tackle the problems that the refugee influx has engendered.

Mr. Colley, secretary for the refugee hosts, appealed to WFP Representative, Malcolm Robert Duthie, Akihiro Takazawa of the Japanese Embassy in Dakar and Mr. Saikou Saho of UNHCR for humanitarian assistance, especially in the areas of feeding, potable water, furniture for the school among others.

President of Cassamance refugees in Bullock, Mr. Musa Colley, stressed the need for mattresses as well as learning materials for their children.

He expressed gratitude to all those who’ve been rendering assistance to them.
