Operafrica Embarks on Eye Operation Exercise

Operafrica, a UK registered charity embarked on a massive eye operation exercise on Saturday at Gunjur Health Centre.

Speaking to this paper, Operafrica Chairperson, Janice Cairus, said the aim of the exercise is to help give sight to people with serious eye defects.

Talking about her NGO, Janice Cairus said that Operafrica is committed to empowering women and local communities. She revealed that they have a garden in Madina Salam and Berending, which employs over one hundred women. She added that plans are underway for them to establish other projects in the country.

The co-odinator of Operafrica, Mr Faburama Darboe expressed his appreciation to the patients for taking part en masse in the eye operation exercise.
