Trust Agency for Rural Development (TARUD), a local NGO based in Gunjur, Kombo South, Western Region held its Annual General Meeting AGM at TARUD pre-school in Gunjur last Saturday.

Speaking at the occasion, Board Chairman of trustees Mr. Madi Jatta revealed that the NGO have done tremendously in the fight against malaria and HIV/Aids in recent years. He revealed that TARUD have provided job opportunities for many people, given out loans to their members and also provided a vegetable garden to the women of Gunjur.

For his part, Mr Sandang Bojang, Director of TARUD, commended his staff and board for their hard work and dedication during the past year. Mr. Bojang expressed optimism that they would do more to bring quality services to the doorstep of Gambians particularly Gunjurians.
