D1.7M, 55M CFA Francs Fraud Charge in Court

Three men, namely Amadou Jallow, Amadou Bailo Jallow and Saikou Trawally, were recently arraigned before Magistrate Moses Richards of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court for conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence.

According to the charges, the three accused persons had intent to defraud Kemo Dibbasey and Amadou Jallow of D1.7M and 55 million CFA.

The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges. They were each granted bail for D1 million with a Gambian surety.  Sergeant 870 Touray represented the IGP.

The case was then adjourned to 17th October for the prosecution to prove its case against the accused.
