UTGSU President Withdraws Resignation

Following reports of his resignation some time last week, Mr. Kemo Cham, president of the University of The Gambia Students Union has withdrawn his resignation letter, this paper has learnt through dependable sources.
According to our sources, Mr. Cham's decision came after fellow students prevailed on him to reconsider his decision and withdraw the resignation letter.

Other sources have intimated to this paper that the student body was able to convince Mr. Cham to stay on at a meeting convened with him shortly after the announcement of the said resignation. When contacted on Sunday afternoon on his cell phone, Kemo Cham confirmed the withdrawal of his resignation, adding the he received lot of calls and text messages urging him not to leave. "It is in due cognisance of this that I decided to stay," Cham said.

It could be recalled that Kemo Cham tendered his resignation letter due to certain reported unsatisfactory conditions he could no cope with.
