In Briton murder case 4th defense witness testifies

One Karafa Darboe of Ginack of village who is 4th defense witness in the ongoing Briton murder trial involving Dawda Bojang and Kawsu Bojang yesterday testified before Magistrate Buba Jawo of the Kanifing Magistrate court.

In his testimony before the court, Karafa Darboe said he met with the first accused’s mother Aja Nanding Camara, in respect to the alleged murder charges against the first accused, Dawda Bojang. He revealed that during that meeting in Aja Nanding’s compound, the two police officers Pateh Bah and Musa Mboob, who came with Lamin Bojang, an elder brother to the first accused, informed them that Dawda Bojang was alleged to have murdered somebody.

According to him, Pateh and Musa requested for D10,000 from Dawda Bojang’s mother and they promised to withdraw, if she gives back the requested money.  Mr. Darboe told the court that Aja Nanding who was crying seriously, went into her house and came out with D10,000 which she handed over to Pateh Bah.

He noted that the money was in D100 and D50 denominations, which were then handed over to the two police investigators. 
During cross-examination, Mr. Darboe told the court that the police investigators, Pateh Bah and Musa arrived in Ginack after 2 o’clock prayers, adding that he cannot recall the specific day and date. 
The case was then adjourned.
