Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, on Wednesday, acquitted and discharged Solo Kuyateh who was accused of stealing D200,581 worth of property belonging to a Dutch national.

Magistrate Kuyateh who had already pleaded not guilty to the charge was hauled to the court for stealing from the Dutch in 2006 at diverse places in the KSMD. He was earlier on granted bail to the sum of D300,000 plus a Gambian surety.

When the case resumed on Wednesday, Police Prosecutor Sergeant Jobarteh informed the court about an application on the last adjourned date to withdraw the case.

Defense Counsel Ousainou Darboe raised no objection to this effect. Therefore, Magistrate Jammeh then discharged the accused accordingly.
