Tabara Samba’s trial for alleged murder adjourned

Tuesday, May 8, 2007

Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Kanifing Magistrate’s court adjourned the on-going murder trial of Tabara Samba yesterday.
The woman is alleged to have killed her husband, Ebrima Nyan of Kanifing Layout, this year by pouring hot boiled oil on him while he was sleeping.
When the case was called, the Police Prosecutor to the case informed the court that the accused (Tabara Samba) is sick and she was taken to the hospital. He then applied for a short adjournment to Wednesday, May 9, 2007.

The defence counsel did not raise any objection to the application made by the prosecution.
The presiding Magistrate therefore adjourned the case to Wednesday May 9, 2007 for continuation.
