Saturday, June 2, 2007

Chief Superintendent Dibba yesterday declared before Magistrate Jammeh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court that the prosecution was ready to close its case after calling its last witness, Oley Bobb, a police officer with regimental number 2250.

In her testimony earlier on, Oley Bobb told the court that she is attached to the criminal prosecution unit in Banjul.
She further testified that she had sometime ago received an audit report addressed to the IGP from the auditor, about the missing sum of D18,897,224 alleged to have been stolen by Aziz Tamba, Mustapha Bojang and Famara Colley.

At this juncture, the audit report was tendered and admitted in court as an exhibit. The accused did not object to the tendering of the audit report.

The case was then adjourned to 4th, 5th and 6th June, 2007, for the defense to open their case.
