Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court yesterday told the court that he would deliver his judgement on the alleged murder trial of Tabara Samba, on 24 September, 2007.
Tabara Samba, 42 has been standing trial since March this year for allegedly killing her husband, Ebrima Nyan, by pouring hot oil on him while he was sleeping. Throughout the six -month trial Tabara Samba, the accused denied the charges preferred against her.

Meanwhile, the Police Prosecutor, Commissioner, Burama Dibba, in his address tol the court dismiss the statements made by the defence team and convict Tabara Samba, the accused.  He told the court that there are sufficent evidences put before the court by the prosecution to prosecute the accused.

Commissioner Dibba further submitted that it is also not a dispute that the accused was the one who poured the hot-oil on the late Ebrima Nyan.
“This was a premeditated murder”, he submitted, adding that the prosecution has proven their case beyond reasonable doubts.

For the defence team, Counsel Amie Joof-Conteh told the court that they have filed a written address, which they solely rely on.
Magistrate Jammeh then adjourned the case to 24th September, 2007 for judgement.
