Steve Biko beat Ham Ham on Sunday to set up an enticing final cracker with the First Division newcomers Samger in the Kanifing Municipality pre-season football tournament.
Striker Lamin Jammeh’s lone goal helped Biko overcome the Division Two side 1-0 as they maintain their unbeaten run in the ten-team competition which is used as a build up to the 2008 league season due to commence in late February.
In another semi-final fixture on the same day, the Division Two giants, Kaira Silo, fell prey to Samger after a1-0 defeat at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.
Samger will now face Steve Biko in the mouth-watering final schedule for today (Tuesday) at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium. Both sides emerged from the same group, where they drew 1-1 in their group meeting and today’s final is a chance for one of the sides to prevail.
The Kanifing Municipality pre-season final came barely three days after the conclusion of the Banjul pre-season tournament which was won by Armed Forces after edging Real de Banjul in the final.
