Libyan embassy employee docked for attempted stealing

The Senior Magistrate of Kanifing Magistrates court, Abdoulie Mbake, on Thursday granted bail, one Muhammed Assan Joof, in the sum of D10, 000.

He was charged with attempt to commit stealing. Muhammed Assan Joof, an employee of the  Libyan embassy, according to the charge sheet, on the 20th March,2009, was caught attempting to steal from the Libyan embassy. When the case came up for hearing, he pleaded not guilty, saying that he was just an employee of the said embassy. The case was adjourned to the 7th of April 2009.
