Allegedly Detained Kanilai Farms Employees Granted Bail

The two Kanilai Farms employees, Alassan Nyassi and Balla Nyassi, have been granted bail after the defense counsel’s (Borry Touray’s) application to that effect.
The duo, who were said to have been detained in relation to alleged offences against Kanilai Farms, were reportedly in Mile 2 prisons for two weeks.

Presiding over the case, Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh granted the application for the duo’s bail. The two have been charged separately.

Alassan Nyassi has been granted bail in the sum of D200,000 with one Gambian surety while Balla Nyassi is granted bail in the sum of D30,000 with a Gambian surety.

The suspects are expected back in court on January 18th 2007.
