Three alleged arm robbers- namely Amadou Sarr, Abdoulie Sowe and Yusupha Badjie were yesterday denied bail by the Kanifing Magistrate’s Court, presided over by Pa Harry Jammeh, due to the on-going police investigation.
The Police Prosecutor 493 Badjie, told the court that he opposed the bail to the accused, simply because investigations still intensify into other matters.
However, Magistrate Jammeh subsequently ordered that the accused person be remanded till 5th of March 2007, but urged the police to expedite their investigation before the adjourned date.
According to the particulars of the offence, the accused persons on 18 February 2007 at Kololi Village armed themselves with cutlasses and entered a mini-market, with the intention of robbing one Mr. William.
