Court gives ultimatum to visa fraudster

Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Kanifing Court yesterday February 28, 2006 gave an altimatum to one Sarjo Sisoho of Bundung, an alleged visa fraudster to pay an amount of D70,000 to the court, before 18th March 2007, or be sent to prison.

Magistrate Jammeh said that half of the amount will be paid to the state and the rest of the balance as payment of the contract. He also ordered the return of two passports involved in the saga to enable the police to mount an investigation into the matter in order to ascertain the authenticity of the visas.

It could be recalled that the defendant entered into a contract with the plaintiff, Jaja Conteh to secure German visas for two people.
